Roof On The Adobe

Had another good sleep., but was awake at 6:00 am, laid in bed until 7:00 am. Isn’t that what holidays are all about? We had instant decaf in real mugs, then eggs and hash browns for the ‘hard working man’. Actually I did work hard. I cut rafters for the adobe roof and then nailed them into place. I also screwed down the sheathing. Tomorrow I will install the tin on the roof if it’s not windy. The weather today was quite nice. It was in the low 70’s (20C). But a friend of ours, Jim from New York who is currently here in Arizona also, called saying that it snowed in Kingman 35 miles (55 km) south of us this morning. Later in the afternoon we went for cherry pie at Slim and Martha’s place. They are neighbors 2 blocks over from us. They are from the state of Montana, but live here year round now. At 3:30 pm we went to Canyon Café for a taco salad, Taco Tuesday! Delecious!
