We have started doing more Hiking together. Bob is doing way better - not getting as sore afterwards, so he is able to build his body up enough to be able to handle it. Which is GREAT! I'm used to taking long hikes with Al, but he hasn't been able to. We went up to Romero Ruins yesterday which is just about a mile and a quarter loop. There isn't much left of the ruins. Mostly just piles of rocks here and there and plackards saying that they were ruins. I guess we believed it... Anyway, we found another trail that was about a 3-4 mile loop that wound through the foothills. It lead up to a small waterfall and stream and then looped back toward the park. You cannot tell me that there is not a Creator who orchestrated everything on this earth. There are things out there to see in this world that are just incredible. There is just no describing what we saw today. We walked up toward the Romero Pools (we couldn't go all the way because we found out half way there that we couldn't take Al and she was with us). The views were incredible and the Saguaro Cactus (Cacti?) were all over the place. Then we drove up to Mount Lemmon. They are still skiing up there so we couldn't ride the lift up the mountain. This is some beautiful country here, people! Today was pretty nasty but we got some great pictures yesterday and it's supposed to be back up in the 70's tomorrow. The critters around here are amazing and so fun to watch! They are performing all sorts of spring rituals that are just fascinating. I haven't gotten pictures of all of the birds and other critters and there are some that just haven't turned out very well, but we have two weeks here to see what we can get. Tomorrow we are going to head southwest and go to the Sonora desert museum, the Honda race kart track, and then over to the Mount Lemmon ski area (that's right - I said SKI area).
