Fairbanks to Coldfoot / Wiseman

A very exciting day today; we had been looking forward to riding up the haul road and it didn't disappoint. Riding conditions were near perfect; ominous looking thunderheads loomed ahead of us but we passed through them to ride under clear blue skies. Quite a few potholes and lots of large trucks but nothing troublesome so far ?.

We stopped at Fox for lunch then again at Coldfoot which is a large truck stop.

Arrived at Wiseman around 4.30 and settled into our lodgings for the night which was a fantastic log cabin.

The absolute highlight today (and maybe the whole trip) was this evening, when we gathered for a catch up; Radar said he had a question and asked if Nikki would marry him. It was a huge surprise to everyone and no one more than Nikki. She said yes BTW! A wonderful couple and I wish them all the best.
