This blog will be for Friday through Sunday. We have been “off the grid” for several nights, staying in Provincial Parks throughout British Columbia with no electric, water or wifi! I am surviving, but it is tough😊 As you can see in the pictures, these parks are immaculate & quite scenic! Friday we had an early start at 6 AM from Whitehorse to get to Boya Lake Provincial Park, which was a 315 mile drive. They do not take reservations at that campground & we were able to get a lakeside campsite; hooray! This lake is a gorgeous teal color, as the pictures show. The bottom of the lake is white marl, thus the water color. It is very dry throughout BC so no campfires; bummer! Mike grilled a couple hot dogs on his grill Friday night, & we browned marshmallows on the stove in the RV for s’mores! Saturday was a non travel day so we did our exercise routine with our resistance bands & dumbbells. We also had plenty time for a couple walks & I did some cooking for the upcoming days. Sunday we traveled down the Cassiar Highway 175 miles to another provincial park, Kinaskan Lake. While on a walk here, we met three young men from Germany who are bicycling from Munich to Rio de Janerio. Crazy dudes!! They have a blog going also, & it is fun to read as it is translated from German to English. They said the trip will take about 24 months, give or take! Mike grilled Alaskan salmon for supper Sunday night; sure was tasty😊 As it rained most of Sunday night, we sure appreciated our warm dry RV as opposed to the Germans in their tents!
