Alabama is...interesting. We drove through on our way to Georgia. We stopped in Birmingham to grab a bite to eat. It's pretty much like your average city. The food was good and the people were friendly. I'd stop there again if I was traveling somewhere where Birmingham was on the way. The traffic on the way out of Birmingham wasn't too great. We might have hit rush hour, but don't let that keep you form visiting Birmingham.
