Chichen Itza is probably the most renown Mayan ruins of the Yucatan Peninsula. Travelphilosophy

I was born on September 12 1983 in an Italian town called Rimini, located in the Emilia-Romagna province along the northern east coast of the Adriatic sea. I lived there for a few years up to the age of 7 and I then moved with my family to my mother native town Brescia, where I grew up and spent my adolescence. Blue sky day
I enjoyed scrolling through your bright blue sky photos. I agree that Piste is lovely quiet little town...we enjoyed our time exploring it, especially as it was a great antidote for the crowds in Chichen Itza :)

To bring your tent and camp in Piste was obviously a master stroke Marcos. To be able to wander the ruins at your pace without the hordes of tourists sounds like an experience I cannot find the words for the delight and interest that must have resulted. Seeing this Mayan mask carved in stone I think it must have been fascinating to see the difference in style between Mayan and Aztec carvings.

Truly it was an unforgettable experience cause the hordes of tourist there was impressive but I still got to take pictures without many people around the ruins. Piste was super and the local people very friendly. I love both styles but Mayan carvings are my favourite,personally. I am happy to have had the opportunity to visit most of the archeological sites in Mexico,it as very interesting and cultureful.
