Well everyone that was Sayulita, it has been fun. despite countless problems with my board surfing has been fun and I´m hooked all over again. My uncle Cam and aunt Del came up here for the day with some friends of theirs and they proceeded to give us beers for breakfast wich we did not decline, half cut surfing is pretty fun. We are going to visit them on the 13th in pv as we are staying the night there before catching a bus to Mazatlan for carnival(just to keep you updated mom). I met Will in the water surfing and told him of our plans so now he is coming to mazatlan with us, he has some great stories ie. despite being straight he played on the only gay rugby team in washinton wich is ... read more

notes from the road -surfing has picked up and i have been doing the best surfing of my life. -okay so no boccee yet, there seems to be some exclusive group of old men we need to infultrate. ie save one of their lives or be a son or daughter of a member. -beach fire productivity has gone up 100% this quarter. -when lost in the jungle the ocean will always lead you home. we werent that lost amy so dont be mad. -spare time plus flat water during the day = 2 harry potter books in 7 days. - not even electric shock can keep me from making grill cheese. -i ve got limes in my beer and lines from my tan got a mushtach on my face and a bed full of sand peace ... read more

notes from the road -Danny Lopez + illegal tequila= four liters of fun -sayulita is super mellow, no real night life besides going out for a couple of beers and watching the ocean, not that i´m complaining, we have settled in and spend our days surfing, reading, and playing cards, guitar and bocce ball. -Tony a guy from Weed California says, its hard to find weed in Weed. -fish tacos are amazing until you eat so many that you get sick in the middle of the night then the thought of fish is out of the question for the next couple days. -mustaches are in bad vibes are out -the town of tequila is as fun as it sounds, kinda like Regina. We just got back from a week in Sayulita, Mexico. Sayulita is a wonderfully relaxing little town. There are some beautiful beaches and rain forests to be seen. Do not expect any American luxeries or even English to be easily understood. This is a Mexican town where the locals go to on vacation. No resorts & no McDonalds! Which means we absolutely loved it!!! Just be ready to be awaken every morning by what sounds like thousands of roosters crowing... ;) There are some wonderful artists in this town, although most of them are North Americans who have studios in Sayulita during the tourist season. I would also highly recommend the road kill chicken (our own nickname) and the croissants from the bread truck (10 pesos each)! The road kill chicken (7 pesos for a whole ... read more

Jan 3rd-Jan 16th Cristiano and I spent two weeks traveling up and down a 200km piece of the Pacific coast of Mexico. We spent 2 days in a small surfing town called Sayulita, 2 nights in Puerto Vallarta, 2 nights in a resort called El Carayes and a week in another small town called La Manzanilla with my dad, step-mom and my little brother and sister. We had a great time! Our car broke down twice which was the only bummer about the trip but it also added some adventure. I have attached some photos from our trip. Enjoy! We leave for Brazil on Monday. Will update ASAP. Liz and Cristiano... read more

Tuesday october 17th. So we ended up leaving Puerto Vallarta because there were way too many tourist and the prices were retarded. Davy was sad to leave his mariachi friend he had made the night before. I forgot to mention that Davy got to sing with a mariachi at the bar when we were drunk. We asked the local people around town about a beach near by for locals. They mentioned to go south about 5 or 6 hours to Barra de Navidad or Manzanillo but we werent up for the bus ride. A few mentioned to go north about an hour into the state of Nayarit and there we would find a beach town called Sayulita. A well known surf spot. So paid the 2 bucks and went up for an hour. Upon our arrival ... read more

Another early start today, but this time we mean REALLY early. Up at 4am is almost too early, especially after another dreadful night's sleep. But we made our bus (less than GBP1 for well over an hour's journey) along with an awful lot of Mexicans on their way to work. Today's objective was to get from the beach town of Sayulita to the 2000m+ altitude town of Guanajuato, our home for 2 weeks whilst we conquer the Spanish language. After thoroughly enjoying their buses last time, we again opted to go with ETN. Ed slept continuously for more than 4 hours, which must be something of a record for daytime public transport. The bus hit traffic - we half expected the ETN bus to get a police escort through this but alas even premium service ... read more
