Mexico City

Plane arrived just outside Mexico and we were surprised to find out that the city had a subway. We had our big packs and the signs said that we were not permit ed to bring anything on the subway larger than a suitcase but nobody stopped us so we saved some cash. Mexico City is exactly what a Latin American capital should be. Urban, kind of crazy, buena onda. We stayed at a hotel in the historic district and explored that area and went up the Latin American Tower for a beautiful view of the city. We also visited the anthro museum which was excellent. The last day we had planned to see the famous virgin of guadalupe but we were short on time. We hopped the subway to the airport and flew to La Paz. Will defiantly come back.
