Happy Easter....Felices Pascuas. Today we sprang forward to DST so we lost an hour of sleep. Not to mention the hour of sleep LOST because of the loud music that someone blasted for another hour or so around 1 am. The natives were having fun on the beach! There is a lot of activity on the beaches here. Many are camped right on the beach here. Yesterday I went down to Buena Vista which is a little village just south of here. There is a large public palapa there and the locals gather there for games, races and camping. The police are posted there to monitor and deter drinking and fights! But I also knew that Gabriel's family would be down there as well so I could get the scoop on what goes on. Gabriela and her mom were selling ceviche which is a mixture of cold fish that has been cured with salt and lime--NOT cooked! I threw my fate to the wind and tried some--it was excellent. You can add hot sauce, ketchup and then eat either on saltines or tortillas. Of course I got to see the baby and little Cesar! He is growing so quickly.

This guy cornered Sherry and me against a big boulder. That is Sherry's sandal gently pushing the mule away!Good Friday, I went up to Buena Vista to see the stations of the cross which are reenacted by the parish priest and the youth of the church. They actually don the costumes and walk a long distance passing through neighborhoods ultimately ending at the church.
I will post some more pics later of the Easter Sunrise Service here on the beach this morning at 6.30 am! Afterwards there was a baptism which required the Pasto and the young man receiving his rites of Baptism to be submerged in the water! Brrrr....

Happy Easter
Hi Kath and Mike, I am finally catching up with emails after about 3 weeks. Hope you both have a wonderful Easter. How can you not what with being at the Baja. We are just hanging out at the condo (inside) as the Michigan Mafia has arrived in Bonita and it is loud and wild at the pool. They will leave next week and then we will return to our peaceful little paradise. So, a week without the pool isn't too bad considering. It has really been nice not having to deal with ice and snow(although I guess MI has been nice for the past month - in the 70's now) I'll still take Florida over MI anytime. We haven't reached the point of wanting to kill one another in our close quarters so far, so it has been really nice and relaxing. We have finished painting and decorating much of the condo. Just have the bedrooms to go and pictures over the couch, so that's not bad. I rejected Bob's pics for the livingroom, so he is out taking pics today. We bought new couch pillows and it made the pic over the couch really obsolete, so now that is a project. The master bath really turned out great - no more ugly blue wallpaper. Yeah!!!! Looking forward to seeing you in July for Ireland if not before (maybe Frank's for father's day.) Tell Mike I said hi and hope he is doing well. My back hasn't been great, but in Florida, anything is doable so no complaints. Take care and enjoy the Baja. Talk to you soon or whenever I check email. More so once I get home.
