Ahoj!!!
So since I wrote here last time many things changed. But when was it... well, Wednesday evening, 11th of July. That night I was with Ed and Kris again. We went for really good dinner to a Turkish restaurant, where we joked with a waiter from Bulgaria. It was fun and the food was great. Little bit expansive, but it was all right. Than we went home and I could stay there in their place that night, because their flatmate wasn't at home. I did my journal late in the evening so sorry for the mistakes I definitely did😊 On Thursday Ed had to work so I left the house, bought my ticket for bus to Montreal and went down to the Greenwich Village what was supposed to be the highlight of New York for it's old architecture. But when i came there, it wasn't really so good. It was another district with the brick buildings, there were more trees and more posh restaurants. But nothing really so different. Than I walked to the Little Italy and China Town. It was interesting... special world with smaller shops with gold and chines food, restaurants and many many people... pretty crazy
place, but you know, China. Of course I stopped in few nice shops and bought some new underwear and t-shirts. The best thing of Manhattan was still undiscovered by me, so I crossed the Manhattan bridge end suddenly I saw that fantastic view to the Skyline with The Brooklyn Bridge... It was amazing. Than I sited maybe one hover on the opposite bank and was looking at the beauty. The way back over the BB was cool too. There is a beautiful view to the Mid Town with Empire State Building in the middle... I liked that soooo much. But than I had to hurry up because the afternoon was over and we were going to the theater On Broadway to see maybe the best musical ever...Les Miserables. Before it started, Ed took me and his good friend, Shon, for dinner to a special Italian restaurant....It reminded me a bit the place where I worked in London. Good food and wine, amazing service and sweet company. It was soooo good. And the owner of that restaurant was looking after us as much as he could... Happy Ed. It is nice to know great people... We all were very surprised when
all he charged us was the bottle of wine... Thank You One More Time😊)) When we sad hi, we went quickly to the theater... In front of there, very excited about going to another show, we sad bye to Ed's friend and than it started.... beautiful show!!!! Great music, great actors, and cute guy sitting next to me😊 Have to admit that I had never seen such a great musical before. It was very different from what I know in Europa... As soon as it finished, the actors bowed down and people left... very quickly. It was good because my palms didn't pain.... but it was a bit strange. Anyway. My last morning in New York came and I was leaving... went to the bus ( Greyhound) and to be honest, I was pretty happy I was going to Montreal because The U.S.A. started to piss me off. The normal people were nice there, especial Ed and his friends... they were amazing. But I had never felt so much ignorance and nasty behavior before... There are just so many fat black people behind the service desks which handle with everyone as with a rubbish, and ye, the civil service is
so bad. I didn't have any bad experience, just I felt it there...
So I was leaving The U.S. and after a long way in bus with an idiot driver which tried to be funny but nobody smiled, I finally got to Montreal. The skyline with the skyscrapers and Mont Royal was beautiful... amazing view from a bridge crossing the huge river which is there...it's name is St Lawrence river and it's really really big. Well, the first night I slept in my friends place...guys from the Czech republic and on Saturday I went around the town... to see what is where. I walked a lot and at night I decided to go out. Montreal is very European city with beautiful old architecture, especially I like the churches which are everywhere and than the old houses with balconies and nice stairs on the front facade... It looks much better than in New York. There are many parks and beautiful people who always help you and you feel just perfect. It's smaller and more friendly. The historical center is pretty much as some French town... stone houses, narrow streets, cafes, cosy restaurants... very cool. On Saturday I bought my new
phone card (5144663399) and I was looking for a flat. My friend from Toronto, Ryan, helped me a lot. He gave me some contacts and I called there. And now I stay in a beautiful apartment with great guy, Steven. I pay a little bit more than I wanted, but we are here just two and the place is huge. I have amazing bedroom with double bed as I always wanted, the living room is not much furnished which is very cool and the kitchen is perfect. I love cooking so now I will hopefully enjoy it a lot... It takes me 20 minutes to get to the down town and ten minutes to the village. Village is a very special place where are mainly guys... It is the second biggest area for men in the North America and there are so many clubs and bars and people.... It's fun, but I don't know... not really my style. I prefer something not so crowded. On the other hand I have been there already like 10 times... so I should be quiet. With Steven we go out very very often, but this week we should take brake a bit and study😊
we will see. Otherwise my French course is going well I think. I like it there. Nice people, good style of teaching... but just one problem is that everyone speaks English so when we wanna know something about each other out of the school, we speak English😞 but anyway... It will be ok also I think. I work in a pretty good restaurant just next to my school. It's called Ruben's and they make great stakes and sandwiches and all food. I get dinner there and I can choos almost whatever I want... but this week they gave me just two shifts so I don't know. I will have to look for another job because even if they pay a lot, two days is not enough and I need to save some money to pay all my bills...and what's more, here is such a good shopping. I bought so much clothes and things, especially the last saturday when I had day off and I got good money in the tips...Than I went with all the bags up to the Mont Royal from where was the best view all around down town of Montreal.
They connected the internet today in my
flat... So I can talk to you more often and can downlode my pictures. Otherwise nothing especial is going on...😊 I hope I will hear soon from you. So your Hubert is OK and he thinks a lot of you!!!!!!!!
Take Care!
Hubert
