Hello my friends all around the world!
How are you? And what's new with you? I am all right... maybe more than that, because my traveling has already started.... For the friends from Europe: I have to say that unfortunately I am not there for this summer any more. But for the people over the Atlantic ocean: I have been to New York!!!!!! And everything is going very well. But how it started... Well, before I left prague, I had to do all the common things with... pack my luggage, say hi to my family and clean my room... but than I finally went to the airport. I went by public transportation and by the way I met with my friend Hanka who just arrived from the US. We had some food in Mc Donald's😊 and than we went to the terminal north and I got my tickets... But my plane to Paris had delay so I missed my plane from Paris to New York. Pretty bad situation, but I didn't mind, because they gave me hotel in Paris, very good dinner and back with all the things I needen...like t-shirt, tooth brush and the other. But I contacted my
friend Fabric in Paris and after midnight he came for me to the airport and I was able to sleep in the center of Paris😊 so everything was super. In the mornig he took me back to the aisport because he went to the north of France. From Paris I got new tickets to Frankfurt and from Frankfurt to New York with Delta airlines. I didn't have much time again, but finally I go on the board. The plane took off and I know that my next stop will be New York City😊 even the stewardess didn't change my good mood... I have to say that Delta Airlanes were really bad. The worth I have ever gone with. When I saw the land under me, which was America, I felt we would be there very soon. And about two p.m. we alighted in the US. I was waiting like ages to go thru the control and than I realized that they lost my luggage.... But I didn't mind and went quickly to Manhattan😊 Went by subway and that I got off on the 5th Ave. Wow, the skyscrapers abow me were incredible. The shopps and people, beautiful weather and great
atmosphere...it all made my amazed and i know I would love it forewer... It was exactly the city how I imagined it😊 Beautiful! So I went to my hotel, where I left some books and run to meet with Ed ( a guy from internet I was supposed to meet with here in NYC) I took long time to meet, but we finally managed it and I was sooooo happy about it. In the beggining I didn't know what to thing about him, but in like 15 minutes I started to love him... he was so nice and his boyfriend Kristopher whom we met just after few minutes in front of their house with their dog Newport was very nice too... I was able to leav some things in the apartment and than we went to a barbecue to Ed's friends place near there. So just in the beggining I met so many new beautiful people and we had a lot of fun... And of course.... Hamburgers and corns for diner too😊 How American... Well, that Ed and Kris took me to Time Square ( everyone knows, probably). But the place was absolutely amazing!!!! I have never seen something so
stunning before. The lights and advertisements.... taxis and shops, it was just gorgeous... Guys offered me to sleem in their place that night because their flatmate wasn't there... so I sad yes and we were listening to the czech songs with Ed for a long time... he loved Helena Vondrackova and Aneta L. It was so much fun. Than I took shower and went to sleep. I slept very well, even if it was like 7 a.m. for me... In the morning we woke up early and went walk the dog to Central Park... Amazing place, people were doing excersize, walking the dogs and relaxing... we took some pictures and enjoyed the morning, too... than we had really good breackfast and guys ordered very American food again... some egs with dill. Soooo good. Kris went home to sleep and with Ed I spent all day. We really enjoyed that. It was very hot and we walked all around the Midtown... Apple Mc shop, some toy shop just next to it... well, that shop was so cool. They had houses for dolls which you can furnished as you want, even with lustres... We were like kids again and could spend there
hovers I thing, but we had to go to one most expected place.... on the top of a skyscraper... exactly - The top of the Rockefeler center. It was my dream all my life... and ye, I was able to see the Empire State Building , all the houses under me and on the opposite side the central park and ...everything I thing😊 It was so beautiful to be there with Ed... I loved that. After that we visited Soho, did some shopping and all the afternoon was just perfect. But it wasn't all, than we all went with their other friend for dinner to the down town near the Brooklin bridge. The wife of the friend was Slovakien so we had nice chat together and all the dinner was just perfect. Her husband envited us and so after the food we went for some dessert... I loved that day. It was just perfect. The day after, which was monday 9th of July 2007, I decided to see the Midtown. I was alone, because Ed had to work that day. But it was very well too. I saw the Chrysler building, Central station and than I went to see the
United Nationals. Beautiful building... very fifties. I took tour with a guid which was a good choice. Than I went to the Upper East Site and than to the Central Park again... did some drawing and some shopping again. After that cool department store I went to Ed's place and he took me to a beautiful place just on the bank of the Hudson river. We spoke a lot and Newport enjoyed that time too😊 After that we went to Thai restaurand and after that super dinner he took me to the best ice cream shopp on Time sq. He had like huge huge ice cream and I felt really american, again this word, but it was absolutally like that. We went back home and called the airlines if they found my luggage, but it was still in Paris, so thank's Ed they started to do something... I took taxi to my hotel and went to sleep. On Tuesday I went all the way down to the Batery Park where I took ship to the Liberty Island. The weather was so hot, and the humidity even worse so I was very glad I was near the see where was a
bit of wind. The statue is smaler than I expected, but very cool... even better is the Ellis Island, where is a museum of emigration to the US. Huge building and very interesting exhibitiond... I liked so much. I found there in the computer my name too.... Some Hubert Horak emigrated to the US from Czech in 1906... funny... but well, than I went back to Manhattan, walked thro Wall street and than I took subway and went to Ed's place again and after that we went to a park near my hotel for food with his friend again... I knew them already so it was fun again... Today I did The Public Library and Nature History Musem which was the best I have ever seen... Thay invested there so much money... Well, In few days I am going to Montreal, but with Ed we would like to go to a Brodway show, maybe Les Miserables. We will see. Definatelly I have to thank Ed so much for that all he is doing for me here, because otherwise I would be a bit lost, who knows... I hope you all have beautiful time too and I am looking forward to
hear from you!!!!! Good bye😊
Truly Hubert
