Thanks to all of you who helped me with my decision re my new boots. Don't worry Catherine, I won't do any heels. It was more the design I was looking for. I am so confused. A few nights ago I woke up out of a deep sleep and could not figure out where I was. It was pitch black and there weren't any noises...it took a few moments to determine I was at Jacob and Barb's house. Really, it was quite funny. But I am still asking myself, "Which way am I going?" So I thought I would add some more pictures of the trip...... read more

Having contacted loads of outfitters and tour operators about a canoe trip in the Algonquin Provincial Park, and being told that the season was over, I found a wilderness outfitter who was prepared to set me up with a voyage along the Mattawa River, following the route used by the French Voyageurs, and the native Indians before them. Two nights and three days on my own, paddling my way down the river, and camping on the way. I spent the preceding (rainy) night in a town called North Bay, in the Voyager Inn, which I thought appropriate. It was also cheap, but I noticed it had a conference on, so I figured it couldn't be that bad. Turned out it was that bad, it was an Alcoholics Anonymous conference, and the room next to me was ... read more

Hey everyone.. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. It's that time again, Meg and I are off on another adventure. This time to the island of CUBA. So we will update with pictures and adventures just like always. I hope that you guys get involved with comments like usual. Now I bet you're all wondering how we came up with this decision? Well we were in Barrie this past weekend for a birthday party for Barb and just before leaving we went to Jacob and Barbs house to have some pizza. While watching Bridezilla we were joking how funny it would be if me and Meg tagged along with Jacob and Barb on their trip to Cuba. Next thing we knew I was clicking "Book now" and we're off to Cuba this ... read more

Been a really hectic couple weeks getting ready for the trip. Finished all the major things we had to have done before we left today. Our trains are now planned out and we will visit pretty much in order Rome, Florence, Venice, Salzburg, Bern, Paris, London, Nottingham, Newcastle, Edinbourgh and then Ireland. Meg got her International Driver's Licence today which was easier then anything else we booked so far. Even easier then buying a movie ticket, which is kind of weird. Meg is also working on her accents which I really can't wait for. Please send this site to anyone you think will be interested in hearing about the trip. Meg and Chris... read more

Hi again everyone! Sadly we are now in our last week before we fly back to England for one more year. Our five weeks at home have been very busy, filled with wedding planning and visiting as many people as possible, dividing our time between KW, Toronto and Stratford. We tried our best but unfortunately we just couldn't get around to see everyone. The good news is that we'll be back in April for two weeks and then we're moving home for good next July, five weeks before our wedding! (note: our wedding date is August 22, 2009...less than a year away!!!) Last week we ventured up to North Bay for two days of sunshine and fishing in lake Nipissing. This two-day fishing trip has been a tradition in Will's family since his childhood. Bri hasn't ... read more

Hello Y'all I am now living back at my parents for the rest of my time spent in Canada. The move was pretty smooth other than the torrential downpour that we had to drive through. I have been fishing, boating, blueberry picking and seadooing, everything but working on my Thesis. Being back in Larder is surreal, never in a million years did I ever think that I would miss my hometown so much but being back here has really put things into perspective. This is just a short little update, more will follow after I get back from New York. Love you all. xoxo... read more

Hey Y'all I wanted to get this started here, in North Bay, because technically, this is where the adventure began. I hope you all enjoy the next year as much as I will (hopefully and anxiously). I have been waiting with anticipation and much anxiety for the departure date and it is now pretty much around the corner. I am headed to Larder Lake to spend some quality time with my family and also to work on my Thesis which has fell to the wayside this summer. I will be blogging while up there just to get the hang of it and make it part of my routine. For those of you who are in the inner circle, you know just how stressed I have been and I want to thank you all for being so ... read more
