We spent the night near Grand Falls, New Brunswick and weren't exactly energetic to start the day. On our way to Fredericton, their capitol, we stopped for a view of Grand Falls, saw a small covered bridge and then the world's longest one, and couldn't resist a small detour to see the world's largest axe.

Fredericton was our main stop. It was a beautiful little city, perfect for walking around. There were tons of restaurants and shops. We did a walking tour as part of looking for a geocache. It brought us past City Hall, the Legislative Assembly, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery and a number of other buildings. It also brought us past the Historic Garrison District, a national historic site significant because British troops were garrisoned there from 1784 until 1869, when Canada assumed its defense. We didn't actually find the cache, but it was still worth it.

After that, we drove to our campground in Prince Edward Island. Not exciting, I know, but it was a pretty drive.

High Temperature: 74 (Fredericton, NB)

Low Temperature: 58 (New Glasgow, PEI)

Miles Driven: 316

Steps Taken, According to Fitbit (for the two of us): 15979

Future Plans: Spend a bit more time in Fredericton.

Memorable Meals: Vault 29 (a restaurant in Fredericton housed in a bank vault, with a Prohibition/gangster theme. I had the Elliott Ness, a black bean/veggie burger, very yummy); Prince Edward Island Preserve Company (makes a potato pie hat is amazingly delicious - layers of potatoes, cheese, with some bacon and sour cream.)

Conversation of the Day: (after Jeff and I quickly kissed)
L - Yuck!
K - What?
L - You're kissing. That's gross.
J - I'm allowed to kiss my girlfriend.
L - For the millionth time, she is NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND!

We Learned: It costs $45 to drive across the Confederation Bridge. Thankfully it's just one way.

We Wondered: If there were moose on the Island. (There are not, nor deer.)

Geocaches Found: 5
