absolutely epic

so we had 53 cm of snow overnight and perfect blue skies and sunshine today. it was an absolutely epic day... and coincidentally it was my first day at work 😞

i didn't think you could have a bad day here but i think i've just realised that it definitely happens. and that often has a lot to do with a lot of snow and work happening at the same time.

work is good - its very cruisy. there are 3 of us in our little department and we're all Aussies but they're both great. we hang around in the ski storage area in the mornings and help take the guests' skis and boards out, then have lunch, then set up a hot apple cidar stand before heading up to the bottom of the run with a trolley to collect the guests' skis and boards again and smile a lot... easy!!! EXCEPT when it's been the most amazing day of the season and everyone has big fat grins on their face and wants to tell you how good the powder was. not enjoyable at all!

anyways loving this place. glad to have started work and have some kind of routine (and responsibility??!)
