We've been a lot of places as the red lines on the map show, but so much open space we haven't seen yet. But hope to see eventually. "She says": Our first two days of our trip it was cold and rainy on and off. We spent our first night at Safari River Adventure in Blue River, BC. Our friends, Clyde and Russ Critchlow own a fantastic river and jeep tour company right on the river. They let us camp there in the parking lot next to the house and plug our RV in. We enjoyed good company and we had a great visit with Clyde and Russ and Debbie. Thanks for the hospitality. We spent our 3rd night in Hinton, AB and it was still cold and rainy. There was even a snow warning.....by thankfully it didn't happen. But 4 degrees is way too cold. Last night we stayed at Betty Harwood's place in Spruce Grove, AB. She is a wonderful lady I met at a womens retreat years ago. We re connected at SEP Silver Meadows camp this summer. We are parked in her driveway as she is away. Thanks Betty. We saw Jeff and Sonya and kids, last night. (They are our son and family). Sonya made a delicious dinner for us last night. Today is day 5 and it is sunny and clear skies.

Our home for the next 8 months. Portable bowling alley on wheels. "He says": Why the differences of opinions and point of view; probably most notably is that I look at things from a "truck and fuel" point of view. What is all this costing; how can we keep things running and what is the most efficient way to get "there"? Hence "he says and she says"; Truck has just turned 100,000 klm. and starting this journey is in some ways a little unnerving as you hope all that is mechanical and motor driven will continue to purr without problems....we have calculated our journey's expenses based on a simple formula: we live for the month only on what our pensions and small addition from savings is and when this is gone we stop, starve and wait until our pensions come in again. I have a small tin I place on the street in these times of famine and do a small song and dance routine...hopefully people will put money in the cup to have me stop.... Sue has provided the details of where we have been and the great hospitality of friends; always great to reconnect with those you haven't seen in a while. Biggest thing of note for me in all this
