day 3 - (susan's birthday) we went to fort edmonton today, it's a historical park. we rode on the steam train from the entrance down to the fort it was amazing. we took loads of pictures which will get put on when we can. at the moment i'm sitting in the hotel lobby in banff and can't upload pic's. the fort was owned by the hudson bay company and was used for fur trading etc. we met a cree (native) who told us lots about the way off life for the natives back in the 1800's. he was making a bow. it then goes on to the 1825 era and as you walk down the street is changes to 1905 and then the 1920's. it was really big and a very warm day.

after we went back to aunt margaret's and uncle bobbie's to have supper and i got a surprise of an ice cream cake with candles.
