Another early start, left hotel at 8am for drive to Dead Sea, not sure quite what to expect but looking forward to it.
Had stop at Karak Castle which was great, very much my thing, walking through history where people once lived.
Onto Dead Sea but stopped on way for takeaway lunch 1 dinar, hope I can add video, was well worth the money.
Arrived at ‘Holiday Inn’ yep though I was back home but really nothing like ours!! What a fab hotel, shame not staying here ? walked down to beach to go into sea, I know Mohammad said it would be 30 degrees but I genuinely thought he was joking! I thought it would be icy cold but no he wasn’t it was like stepping into a hot bath, never known anything like it and yes you didn’t need an inflatable to lay on cos you floated anyway, we then got out and covered ourselves from head to toe with mud, very slimy but felt very cool especially in 35 degree heat ?
After going back into the Dead Sea to wash the mud off (skin felt great) we went to the hotel pool, very posh had swim up bar where we obviously had to use as it would have been rude not to ?
We then visited mount Nebo this is where Moses seen the promised land and where he is buried but the don’t know the exact spot lovely place to visit and quite moving.
On to our hotel not quite like the holiday inn but at least it has a pool ? met up with group to go into town for meal on roof top terrace, lovely view of the mosque where there was a service going on while we’re eating so the ambiance was brilliant.
