The roads to this site were all through rolling hill countryside & any chateaux we passed were mostly hidden in the forests, of which there were plenty of both, so I didn't take any pictures. We basically drove up the centre of France to where we are now in the French department called 'Burgundy' though close to the 'Centre' region.

This site is municipal which we didn't realise until we got here but you wouldn't guess so. It's really nice, well managed & next to a small lake which is stocked with coarse fish. There were a few fishermen & women fishing today with 15m poles, but my little rod stayed in it's bag. I like to eat the fish I might catch but tiny coarse fish - perch & roach - aren't a good meal. Apart from a railway line with the odd train passing, it's very quiet & feels like the middle of nowhere – 2 nights here.

Tomorrow we want to find the hairdresser in the nearby village & see if they can fit us in; we'll take the bikes & have a mooch about the countryside.
