Greek Capital
Where the protesters died two weeks ago! Well it turns out that my subtle carry on that I was trying to live out of for the next month was not so subtle.. It took two guys to get in the overhead bin on my first flight. I was totally that girl. The second flight was a little better. A short Asian guy manhandled into the bin. He literally was the same size as me but strong like ox. I made it to Greece with 8 hours to spare before my flight to London. This may not have been the best idea. I was exhausted but powered through the day.
Two things that I love about Greece already.. Baggage storage and a friendly tourist information girl that had no maps. She literally drew me a map of the entire city center. It paralleled Japanese hospitality. I was off to the city center on the brand new tram system for Greek salad and wine.
I spent the day wandering around aimlessly without a map but managed to bump into the acropolis, and the panthenon. It's a pretty small city.
Two things that I'm sad about this trip.. No student discounts and one of the stewardess called me

Not exactly Greek salad but it was quite delicious. ma'am. Really? Is the Hawaiian sun aging me that fast. I was hoping to have another couple years of hostel stays.
PS. Travel in Europe is already better, easier, and cleaner then India and Africa. Here I hopped on the subway and was in the city in 30 minutes. India the train took over an hour and you hung your butt over the side of the car when you had to pee. Granted it was a tad bit cheaper..
