Birthday in Edinburgh

Maybe it is ironic that I am back in Edinburgh now, after I wrote the warning to fellow travelers who read these blogs to avoid this city while they are ripping up the roads to put in a tram system. Yup, I'm back and they have Princess Street closed while construction goes on. And the Tattoo and Fringe Festival has filled the streets to overflowing with tourists.
I am allowed. Its my birthday and this is a great place to celebrate. The entire city is buzzing.

Well, a lot of it was crap...the good stuff got air time in halls, theatres and pubs. Remind me to tell you about the old punk musicians doing classical Barnes poetry to music

Nope, I didn't go to the Tatoo at the Edinburgh castle. There was too much fun on the streets and Fringe festivalsites.
