Farmer's Market in Nice.
The countdown is on - only four more nights on tour! I can’t believe it!!! We have done so much and have seen so many things so quickly that in some ways it feels like we have been gone forever…and in other ways, it feels like we just started! I’m starting to think this may have been one of the best experiences of my life! I’m so glad I did this! Seriously, the culture, the history, the people…amazing! I feel so lucky to have met so many great people!

Anyway, today was a free day to roam Nice. I slept in until 9:30 and laid in bed a while. It’s nice to have a day of leisure. I can do everything or nothing…on my own!

A lot of people hit up the beach and just chilled there all day, but I did my own thing. I wandered around the town, soaking it all in. I went to the highest point of the city and it was a gorgeous view. I took some nice photos. It’s such a visually stunning place. The water has such an amazing color, and the multi-colored buildings accent the green hills beautifully. The port is

full of beautiful yachts and a huge cruise ship!

I got lost in the town. I walked around, admiring the views, looking in the shops, and just soaking in the culture. I found a cute dress in a little shop that was off the beaten path. It’s super cute….I’m hoping I will be able to wear it again when I get home! I spent the whole day wandering! I just got home, now I need to shower and change (into my cute new dress) for dinner.

Tonight, we were taken to Monaco. We looked around a bit (saw the church where Grace Kelley *I think* was married), then we had a nice group dinner. After the dinner, we went to Monte Carlo to see the casino! Before we could even make it to the casino we were in awe of all of the gorgeous cars sitting outside! Paul told use we could go to the main casino on our own (there was a $20 cover just to walk in it), or go to the free casino. So we all went to the free one! We all threw in $5 to a gambling fund…and we won! We doubled up,

so I can say I’m a winner! Bel, George, and I split a nice bottle of Champagne and we sat in the piano bar and enjoyed that instead of gambling. It was nice to just sit and relax.

When we got back to the hotel, a few (Me, Bel, Tina, Nick, Phil, George) of us decided we wanted to go out for a few drinks. We found this cute little dive bar and went in. At first I think the people were wary of us, but, by the end of the night, they loved us! George had the bright idea to do a round of shots. Well, the bar didn’t even have 7 shot glasses! Ha ha! So, we ended up doing shots out of mini-glasses, regular sized glasses, and just about anything they put in front of us! We did 7 rounds of shots, just making up drinks as we went along. We went up to the bar and said try this, this, and this. I swear, the lady put a shot of each type of drink in each glass! It was brutal! We stayed there until they closed, then went to a little pizza joint (of course).

We had a couple more drinks and we had the world’s longest straws. They were sooooo long! Luckily, we were walking distance from the hotel!
