Rousay

In beautiful sunny and warm weather, we abandoned the van, crossed over to Rousay on its small ferry and did a delightful 13 mile cycle ride around the island on almost empty minor roads with beautiful views of mainland Orkney and the outlying islands. There were also several interesting Neolithic burial chamber sites to visit on the way.

We returned to the Sands of Evie to spend the night.
