I don't care how any times I've said it before, I am saying it again. I hate packing. It's horrible. Anyway, I have sorted my stuff, and gotten what I'm going to take with my organised and repacked to my satisfaction. That said, I will probably repack it again before I go to sleep, because I'm a bit obsessive that way. Sent Tony a text, since the last I heard he was living in Edinburgh, and that's where I'm heading tomorrow. Thought it might be nice to catch up with him, have someone to play tourist with for a day. He rang me, and told me to let him know when I get to Edinburgh, and we'll for sure hook up. So groovy...that's everything all in order and ready to go for tomorrow! Excellent!... read more

So today was a day of revisiting old haunts, seeing the people I knew when I was here last year. I went up to the hotel (such drunken memories of walking that road...) to see Annette, Dorothy, Charlie, Colin and whoever else still happened to be around. Ended up seeing Jelena and Barry (could have done without seeing Barry), she's leaving for Latvia tomorrow, so that was good timing. Really weird being back in the hotel...absolutely nothing has changed. I keep seeing James around, and it's really upsetting me. I don't know why it upsets me this much. You would think I'd be over things by now. Oh well. I'll live. I cut Karen's hair this evening, and actually did not a bad job! I wouldn't exactly say that cutting hair is my life's calling or ... read more

Running through the streets of Glasgow weighted down with luggage is not something that I recommend to anyone, if you're ever thinking that it might be fun to try. It's really not. Listen to my wisdom! Pitlochry was it's usual charming self. I was so happy to see the Baker's Oven...and a Lloyds! But I can't believe that same stupid Spanish girl is still working at Baker's Oven!! How is it that she hasn't been fired yet? She's completely useless! I'm sure even she knows that! So anyway, I felt a bit better with some money in my pocket and some Cornish pasties. It was good seeing Karen again, and there really is ... read more

Egg #2: Hi all - the exciting departure date ever approaches - but we've had a bit of a change of plans re timing of leave and initial stops. We've now decided to go to France and Germany (Bavaria) on a drive / camp trip for about a month before leaving for Thailand. Nothing like a bit of sponteneity, eh? This has all came about following our weekend of camping at Roundyhill near Dundee - I'd never been camping before, as I've always operated on the basis that you can't plug a hairdryer into a field. However - I realised that I need to learn to 'ruff it' a bit in prep for Big Trip. Well, we had SO. MUCH. FUN. Apart from the driving rain, total lack of sleep, constantly barking dogs from the Rescue ... read more
