Headed off after the football disappointment and made good time getting to Stafford motorway services. Bedded down by 2am and awoke fresh at 7 ready to go. The journey up was bearable and we stopped off for lunch in Penrith and found a nice Thai doing lunchtime specials. We set off after lunch and got to our campsite at the base of Loch Lomond in Balloch about 4pm. We've been for a bike ride and had fresh wild sea bass for dinner. looking forward to getting to Fort William tomorrow when the adventure really begins.
