Susan's finger before the new bandage was put on
The sick women woke up this morning after sleeping a bit better. Claire slept the best she had in 2 plus weeks. That probably helped Susan because Claire wasn’t coughing all night long. We ate at the World Café for the first time instead of ordering room service. Today was a day at sea. We’re heading to Dublin and needed to go thru the English Channel and head up the Western coast of England. Susan headed to the medical center before 9 to get her bandage changed. All looks well. She goes back again in 2 days. We then took the disembarkation form to the desk and noticed there was shopping. We acted like we had money and pursued expensive jewelry. We then returned to our cabin to start a movie. A bit later we headed to a lecture on British History. In the 8thgrade one of my classmate’s semester papers was “WWII in Brief.” This was British History in really brief, but still interesting. Susan and I headed back to our cabin afterwards to continue the movie we started, Slumdog Millionaire. We got through a bit more before heading to lunch. At lunch we both talked about how much better

the ABBA band
we felt and that we weren’t going to take the antihistamines since they dried us out so much. We both agreed. Then 30 minutes later, my eyes opened wide, and Susan knew why. Time to leave, I’m getting ready to have a coughing fit. By the time we got to the room Susan started up too. I think the meds knew and wanted us to take more so we obligated.

A bit later we headed to the talk about future cruises. Not that we don’t already have some booked, but still…. Then back to our movie until the port talks. We thought it started at 4:30 but noooo, 4:15 so we got there just a bit late. Still, the information seemed a bit different. We thought we heard that the tour tomorrow was 4 hours, but our papers said 6 so we called down to verify. We then finished the movie. Off to dinner, another window seat but clouds rolling in along with the ship. We’re definitely feeling the rolling motion tonight. Back to the room to catch up on things then we headed to the show. It was an ABBA tribute and was great. Then off to bed.
