8 – 11 July

We drove up to Cheshire and stayed at a small campsite attached to Stoneyford Cottage Gardens near to Dellamere Forest Park and had a pleasant evening stroll around the gardens. The following morning, we walked in the forest.

For the second time this summer we then spent a few days camping adjacent to docks situated in a major city. This time it was with our Murvi Club friends in the car park of the Liverpool Sailing club. Whilst we were there, we strolled along the water’s edge to the rejuvenated Albert Dock, visited the Slavery and Maritime museums, had a tour of the original 17th century dock now built over by a shopping centre, went round the visiting Terracotta Army exhibition; and had a tour, guided by one of our members, looking at some of Liverpool’s more interesting buildings including both cathedrals.
