We are on our way at Wellington Airport and saw this advert sign. Quite spooky really.
At last. We have left the cold of our NZ winter and arrived yesterday in England to wonderful warm weather. I do find that the cold of winter is getting harder to take, so I am very pleased to look forward to the next 3 months in the warmer climates. We left home, NZ, at 4.45pm on Monday the 2nd July and flew NZ to Hong Kong then right through to Heathrow, London, arriving at 2.30pm on Tuesday the 3rd, so a trip of 30 hours after crossing the date line. Very tiring but thats the way it is.

So now we are spending the next 4 weeks in Corsham at Pete and Helens. We just love this place and all of the surrounding area, where the walking is great, the country side magic, and the time spent with Pete and Helen is always full of interesting things to do. We are so lucky to be able to spend time here to explore the area, and although we have been coming here for quite a few years there is always something new to find and enjoy. We have a few things planned but we will take it as it comes,

No, not where we are staying but a plan is in place to visit here and the garden.
and the forecasts are looking great for the next few weeks.

Our first day here Di and Helen drove to Cardiff in Wales, only 2 hours away to visit a couple of galleries as Helen was after some art work. So I started our trip the way I hope to carry on, with a walk into the village and though the grounds of Corsham Court, out over the fields, around the lake and then back into the village for a bowl of chips and a beer to refresh myself. One of my favourite things is to engage in conversation with other walkers and anyone who is willing to have a natter with a fellow from the colonies. So nice to spend time this way. The countryside is very dry as there has been a long spell of hot dry weather. It is great to have Di capable of walking greater distances with me now that her knees have been renewed. We can now take the dogs for walks as well as going to places that I have walked previously so that Di can see for herself what I have talked about. Over the next 3 months I hope to
