Dianne was feeling pretty low while we were in Liverpool but started to feel better as we visited Greenock outside Glasgow. I, on the other hand, started to feel worse. Sore throat and cough and I started to feel a bit feverish. Just as I got there, the gate closed and a section of walkway opened so that a boat could travel down the canal to the open water

111 Trevor Terrace

These row houses were built in 1901. Number 111 (the black door) was the home where Peter's father lived as a child (born 1910, emigrated to Canada 1929)

Mariner's Lane

Peter's Great Aunt Mopsy and Uncle Hilton had lived down this road.

Finally, the sea

What a beautiful spot. No wonder Peter's Mother loved to wade in the ocean here.

After my amazing day's adventure, I made it back to the waterway and could see our cruise ship nearby!
