Dianne was feeling pretty low while we were in Liverpool but started to feel better as we visited Greenock outside Glasgow. I, on the other hand, started to feel worse. Sore throat and cough and I started to feel a bit feverish. Just as I got there, the gate closed and a section of walkway opened so that a boat could travel down the canal to the open water

These row houses were built in 1901. Number 111 (the black door) was the home where Peter's father lived as a child (born 1910, emigrated to Canada 1929)
