The lovely Sarah and Paul hosted Caterham's social event of the year yesterday afternoon in a backyard BBQ. Rellies attended from as far afield as Bristol and a good time was held by all. This morning we went to visit the spot where Briony's ashes are scattered. It was nice to see there were already some fresh flowers there. The new plaque and surround looks nice. We were being watched by a tiny little rabbit. The photos don't do the bling justice.... read more

This is my first blog entry. In 2 days time I will start my travels around South East Asia and Austrlia. On the 27th of August myself, Samantha Baker and her cousin whom i am yet to meet will begin our travels at Heathrow. We get our flight at 12 mid-day to Phuket with a change over at Singapore. We are flying with Singapore airways so hopefully will be fairly looked after and comfortable, I think the flight to Singapore will be about 12 hours then 1 hour flight back up to Phuket where Samantha has booked us a hostel. We have a hostel booked for the first 3 nights then i think we will move on to another island. Hello! This is sadly my final blog! I arrived home on Friday after a grueling 27 hours travelling with stop overs, 3 flights and a few delays! I have to admit that when we finally tocuhed down at Gatwick it was a mixture of regret, relief but mostly excitement. Regret because understandably i would give anything to be back out there and be living the 'no worries' life style that we had become so acustom to! Relief not only because the 27 travelling episode was over but also the realisation that it would finally be time to settle down again and being back home also meant we didn't have to live out of a backpack anymore!
