Geographically, I haven't really gone anywhere, but mentally - what a journey! For the first time in about 10 years I have everything in one place, and decided to fight my way through it all and seriously de-clutter! The significant one is getting rid of most of my 'cow collection' - anything useful is kept/used, all the cuddly toys are going to a car boot sale... another new experience!! Very tiring - 6+ hours for about 5 days working through it all... alongside the odd cycling ride (including one intended for 1 hour - got a little lost, took 2 hours 20 minutes!) and run... trying to keep up the fitness even though am no longer at the gym, although I am still trying to take on board Mark's special brand of fitness (see Crossfit Manchester... ... read more

Christmas weekend started with a visit to see Ipswich play at home against Stoke (coincidence as Tamsin was at Keele). I made it as far as the lunch - very convivial. Ipswich went on to lose one nil, but I managed to do some last minute Christmas shopping. As far as Christmas is concerned I think the pictures speak for themselves. To show Tamsin that life is carrying on without her on the lead up to Christmas I am adding this blog with photos to show her it is chilly here and we are nearly ready for Christmas. It is tuesday morning and Paul flew out today to join Tamsin in Sydney for Christmas. At home it is rather sad to have no children here for Christmas but life must go on so this is our frosty tuesday morning for you to enjoy. Tonga doesn't bother getting up whereas Dori is raring to go as usual and ready for anything you can throw at her - literally!! Hey.. Thought i best try an actual blog before i go so i know what i'm doing when i wanna use this majigger. Things have calmed down since the weekend... or so i thort until the boys from next door came round after Sam finished school... ended up haveing guite a few playfights with them which is aways fun... you can tell sams at school as he started to lock me up so i couldn't move my hands or feet only he locked me up with imagination so it wasn't too bad. The hair's come off, so we must be ready to go!! To all of you who didn't believe it, Jonny (Bob) has finally reduced the size of his mop, he is no longer side show Bob's less evil brother!! Although he feels that this may mean he loses his comic genius (Thankyou Ady!). We're packed and ready to start our adventure tomorrow, hopefully next time we update this we'll actually have something interesting to say!!
