Gills warming up. Sorry the zoom is rubbish Hi RandomMan fans,
The close season was far too long, world cup disappointment again, and the blues lost their best two players. Lots of new faces were brought in but how would they do.
Read on for a better review than any sunday newspaper which only gives 2 paragraphs for league one, and its all me own work honest!!
Gills Vs Huddersfeild Town.
To be honest, i thought a draw would be good as they only lost out in the playoffs last year and kept same players and added fat boy Luke Beckett. Fat he is but also a goal machine against us!!
I went early to watch the players warm up and got some close up views when, as part of a new routine the players do some sprints right in front of the RainhamEnd! Was only distracted from taking more shots by some bloke talking to me and asking loads of questions! Imagine that, strangers talking to me!
Before ko it was time to meet and greet the usual crowd and find out who had paid for another season's punishment/enjoyment. Good to see Noel looking very chirpy!!
Tha game kicked off and

Dirty Sancho up close we looked ok but the threat of Beckett and Booth always looked dangerous.
We had a few good plays and seemed solid enough but i guess i was a bit scared about thir big boys and as usual, would we be fit enough? especially as the sun had rerturned!
About 10 mins before half time we really started to get it together and pressed them back. Lots of chances started to come our waybut it wasn't happening. When the ref blew for half time their players really looked relived.
Half time no pie as it was too hot and i was miles away on the 50/50 draw!! bugger!!
Second half we got straight at them and from his own box, da da da da, Matty Jarvis sprinted the length of the pitch with Flynn screamin for the cross as he was unmarked!! Jarvis went it alone and beat the keeper at his near post!! 1-0!! Jarvis was promptly bundled by at least 5 team mates and was a little slow to get up.
3 more chances followed and their left back looked like he wanted to die! Thier back 4 were shoking and i saw they

All the small lads go first!! were going to make a double sub. This they did but as soon as play resumed mullers broke down the right and fed Ronald MacDonald who looked to leave it for flynn, b4 turning sharp and firing home from 8 yrds!!2-0.!!
They looked dead and buried and threw on Pawel Abbott 4 booth.
To be fair it worked, i thought they might collapse but he seemed to lift all of their players and we started doing the usual!! T&T defending. Tip and Toe insted of putting boot through it!!
They nicked one when we really should have cleared. 2-1.
They had a couple more chances before we introduced Big Dave ( Ndumbu-Nsungu, i think) This bloke will be a leg at Gills, u can just feel it.
He had a chance, as did, Dance floor, and flynn. Right in stoppage time Big Dave got in the box and squared for Mullers to tap in only for the defender to block on the line!!
Int ended 2-1 and we are finally in +GD and 13 points from the bottom as Rotherham lost and started with -10pts for being naughty!!
According to the paper we are
