So 6 northern lads decided to venture down to the 'big smoke' in Colin's much lauded bongo van. Pickup's previously derided satnav did the job and we got there in fine time.
We decided to do the weekend in style and camp in south London.
As soon as we arrived we went to the nearest local for some good old cockney hospitality. We seemed to walk through a portal on the way into the pub because we ended up in some sort of yardie joint that had no customers or beer....but seemed to be doing a roaring trade.
We escaped through the same portal and remained in one piece for Le Grand Depart the following day.
Got up bright and early, had brekky, met Mr F, n headed to Hyde Park. Rod, Colin and I walked what seemed like 6 miles to buy a selection of (not so) fine wines and selection of cheeses. Oooh la la.
Watched the prologue fly by, trying to catch a glimpse of the riders whilst consuming more liquids. By the end of the prologue various members of the party were worse for wear. This was made much worse when two models turned up with Pat
and Nigh and decided to have a few ales with some northern oinks.....
By the end of the evening the hardest drinker ended up suckling on a banana in a late bar. Well 'ard....
