It is a very well known Buddhist proverb that a journey of 1000 miles starts with a single step. That step was a tram ride to Wimbledon, a train to South Hampton, well two really as we got on the wrong one to start with and then a wait for he correct train, followed by a short walk to the docks to get our car out of the shipping container.

The UK was very organised, we arrived at the nominated time and there was a container on a truck with a couple of guys waiting for us. They opened the container, removed the packing wood, untied it and Darren connected the battery. The car fired up no problems and Darren backed it down the ramp out of the container.

Awesome, looked just like the day we dropped it off.

The dock yard where we collected it from was a packing company that specialised in shipping London Morgans, average price was $160K GBP which is about$ 265 AUD. The guy showed us around the vehicles already unpacked and Darren seemed suitably impressed. We both laughed when he took photos of our old truck. How he could possibly have been impressed with
Only $130K GBP Only $130K GBP Only $130K GBP

Not much room for camping gear
our car given what he normally ships is bizarre.

We drove it home on this beautiful English Summer day, (torrential rain looked like a whiteout), M3 nearly at a standstill and we were not 100% on the directions but made it safety. Classic view tramline on one side and terrace houses on the other

Hl guys and now you've made us jealous !! you can't believe how we miss the English summer which normally falls on a thursday ! I can recall waking up one morning late and missing the summer altogether ! and already you have sampled t
he joys of Britrail which can be a bit victorian to say the least ! having said that we are quite happy here battling as we are adjusting to a farmers life, feeding the chickens and the cat which kindly wakes us up at 5 every morning to let us know it's time for her breakfast ! otherwise everything is well here and I'm already busy with the mods on the caravan and we've bottled 4 jars of pears and weeded 4m2 of the veggy patch ! It's hell here I tell ya !! Rose says she thinks Rick will find some work on his farm for me burning the old scrub etc. so we'll see and Pepe may'be can cook at the golf club on thursdays if they need extra help so thats it from our side. I forgot what your mailing address is here, could you e'mail that to us, cheers for now and thanks for the news brian & pepe
