Last blog from the UK. Leaving tomorrow at 3:00pm on the Eurostar to Paris then changing onto a night train which will get us to Oktoberfest (I mean Munich) by about 7:00am. Anyway since the last entry we have travelled through The Lakes District with Alan and Deborah kindly offering to be our tour guides once again. Spent yesterday touring Buckingham Palace, audio guide included which kept John very happy. Although dissapointed he could not find the Queen or Katie and William. Also took the kids for a ride on a double decker bus, had a tour of the Royal Mews and went to an exhibition of Leonardo Da Vinci's drawings from the 1500's. Had dinner with Roy Frost, Susan and Christine and Dave at Roys house. Today we will pick up the hire car, and head for Nottingham, and then onto Harrogate to spend a couple of days touring around York. Still working on downloading the photos, hope to have some up soon Love Darren, Tanya, Carolyn, Hayley and John... read more

I will also be giving updates about any fundraising events that I will be organising and how you can attend! So all ... read more

Tuesday 20.4.2010 day 188 The good news is we can get out of the UK the bad news it is not for 16 days First thing today we extended out hotel for another night and extended our car hire for another week. We took a drive around the area we went to a little sea side town and had some hot chips but the sea. Then we drive to Colchester the oldest town in England. When we got home we managed to get hold of our airline and the first flight to Canada that they could book us on was the 6th of May in 16 days time. So at least we have a date. The problem is that means that we cannot get to the 2 weeks of accommodation that we had booked in Canada. ... read more
