Hen & Stag night
Well everything was gearing up for a great July & August. First stop is Plymouth for Caroline’s Hen party. We had a Brides & bridesmaid theme and Charlotte spent most of the month turning an old charity shop 1920’s wedding dress into a bespoke fancy dress wedding dress. Caroline wore Mum’s old wedding dress a la 1970’s mini dress and original wrap around sandals!!
Liam on the other hand was going out with Murray for a night on the tiles with the boy’s in Exeter. His theme was the 1980’s, so it was nice and easy as he pulled up the Joker outfit and was good to go!!!
The girls weekend started with lots of getting ready with a few drinks to help us on our way, we jumped in a cab and went down to the restaurant cuisine spontine, it has a BYO policy, however we did laugh when Caroline discovered that she had left the booze at home and had to do a last minute drinks dash in the barbican.
The rest of the congregation turned up and a good night was had
by all, after a surprise appearance by Digory & Neil we finished off the meal and headed out on the tiles. We bumped into stag party at one of the bar’s and the stag had been tasked with many deeds for the night, one of which was to lick a bride from thigh to toe, so being a good sister and dressed as a bride, Charlotte stepped into the breech! Ow I remember I don’t like people touching my feet, never mind licking them!
Onwards and upwards, we head on to the next bar and they have a VIP roped off section that I blag our way into, we even get Caroline up and dancing on a chair. Off to the Cider press of a good old dance, a few were up and dancing on the table, yay! Good night had by all! And taxi for Charlotte!!
The boy’s got a train up to Exeter and after checking into the hotel jumped into a couple of canoes and canoed to a fab little pub on the river, after a couple of liveners, back to the hotel to get changed. Having Chris (dressed as Hong
Kong Phewy, not Scooby doo!!) a professional graphic designer, do Liam’s hair green, Liam now knows the meaning of perfection.
Waiting in the bar for the rest of the boy’s, along comes a lone fancy dress man, dressed as Robin, his eyes light up when he saw the Joker, He-man & Skelator. Turns out that he was duped by his mates and he was the only one of them that was dressed up! How cruel!!
Well the rest of the night following a meal at Prezzo’s lies under the ‘rule of the Stag’!!! But fun was had all around and they returned safe into our arm’s the next day, after a bit of obligatory shopping.
