Well, really sorry about the blog yesterday or the lack of it. Well yesterday I thought I was a fish as I have never been as wet and if I am totally honest it was cold as well. So when we got back to the Motorhome we got out of our soaking wet clothes chucked them in the garage and put the heating on to try and dry out. Was worrying that today was going to be the same - so really happy when we woke up that the sun was shining - mind you the winds are still cool - however, cannot complain - well this is Paula and she can complain!
We had a light breakfast as we had booked into Rick Stein's for lunch. As I was going to be wearing shoes with heels I asked Mike if we could get a taxi. Well getting a taxi in Padstow is nigh impossible. We had to ring 6 companies before we could either get someone to answer the phone or available to take us into Padstow. The meal was fabulous but to be honest it was really pricy but what do you expect I can hear you say.
I was going to take photos of the meal but thought Paula you hate it when you see people doing this so do not be a pillock and do the same - so sorry you cannot see my oysters and then my Dover sole. After the meal Rick Stein's restaurant took us back to the site - so not bad service there!
My list of things that we need to take when we go in the motorhome is growing but being a girl guide I always have a pad and pen with me.
Once back at the campsite got out of high heels and put my flats back on. We decided that we would stay around the campsite and went for a walk and found this little gem called Prawn on the Lawn for a G&T and then foundd out they have one in London so a little gem not sure it is if there is one in London. Anyway, asked if we could book a table for this evening and he fell on the floor in hysterics and said "are you having a laugh we are fully booked until August and don't try and get somewhere in Padstow centre as they will have you labelled as numpties who want a table and will have your photo plastered around the town telling people avoid the northern numpties!"
So now back at the campsite I think if it is nice tomorrow we will do the Camel Walk and not with a hump, ha ha. It is an 18 mile walk I think but as I am saying this I am not sure, so will need to check this out before we set off, as don't want it to be a 36 mile round trip.
Anyway one note I have made for myself is BOOK BOOK BOOK in 2021 as of course who is going abroad as not many countries on the green list.
