We have been back in the UK now for a week. Had an awesome three months travelling around Europe and met some really super people. Now the rough plan is to put Kirbit on Ebay and head towards Scotland and Ireland for sightseeing before we have to head back out to Heathrow. Truly hideous! My face couldn't hide my initial reaction. I would never ever use the words 'hideous' and 'my wife' in the same sentence under normal circumstances, but taking a look at her feet, there really wasn't a better word to describe them. By some small miracle, I was hoping the blisters and missing segments of skin had miraculously replenished and repaired themselves. They hadn't. They looked exactly the same as they did the previous evening after the gruelling thirteen mile coastal walk from Pendeen. So disgusting, it was hard to look at them for more than a few seconds without feeling nauseated. I had a late start , 9.00 ish , my brother and his girlfriend were on their way to capture my arrival in Lands End .I was keen to get off so a quick breakfast at McDonalds , and a coffee , and i was ready .Gary would pick up my bro from Penzance station .I was running on adrenaline , for the 1st time in days I had no pain just an overwhelming desire to complete my Jogle . Talced up I haeded out on the A30 towards Penzance and the weather was great ..dry , windy (still with me) I had jettisoned the rear panniers into the van to enjoy a lightweight ride , what a difference .
