During the night, like about 3am, out in the street you could here people heading down the street after probably partying all night, singing and yelling, heading towards the train station, not that Clint would have heard it as he was too busy snoring! I got up about 5.30am, made a coffee and stayed in bed. Always busy writing blogs, checking emails, Facebook, blah, blah, blah!!
When I finally got up at 7.30am, I checked out the window and we had a dusting of snow! So exciting!!
After showering, we collected the girls and caught the subway to Ouchy, sort of like the Glenelg version of Adelaide, but today, after the snow, it seemed different than last week! We showed Melanie around this area as last week she wasn't with us. Back on the subway, we went back to our station and waited for Jean-Marc, Jules and Louis to arrive as we were meeting up for brunch. We then caught the subway for a further 2 stops, got off and went to a small cafe. We had no idea what was on the menu, so was a surprise when all the food came out! There was meats, cheeses, croissants, breads,
jams, chocolate spread, gherkins, and so much more, as well as coffee and orange juice! What a degustation!
After leaving the cafe, we headed back to our hotel, passing a museum/ library and then Jules and Louis running off playing games, scooping up fresh snow and throwing snowballs! Clint joined in on the game, Also scooping up snow, and as he passed me, gave me some snow too. As Clint aimed his snowball at Jules, I had a direct hit at Jules, hitting him fair and square in the face, even in behind his glasses!!! Whoops, sorry Jules!!! (No I'm not hahaha!!)
We collected our bags, which were stored while we had brunch, and walked down 'that hill' towards the train station. We were due to leave at 3.12pm but there was another train leaving at 2.42pm also heading to Geneva, so we were able to get on this one. We said our goodbyes to Jean-Marc, Jules and Louis, and jumped on the train. The train trip from Lausanne to Geneva was only about 40 minutes, so smooth, and quiet, the best way to travel over here!
Once we arrived in Geneva, we found our way to the same Hotel as last
week, Hotel Bernina, and made our way to the 3rd floor to our room. With not a lot of time, (and not many shops open because it was Sunday) we found a couple of souvenir shops, before arriving at Lake Geneva, unfortunately the fountain had stopped half an hour before we got there. We walked back, via the train station, where we found some shops open, and then collected Nikki for a meal in an Italian cafe, near the train station. After dinner, Nikki, Melanie and Clint had Nutella Crepes!
We went back to the hotel, via a wine bar next to the hotel, where Melanie wanted to go for a cocktail, so we joined her for a wine, back in our room, we all chilled, doing our own thing and just watching TV

Train travel sounds like the way to go. The lights in Geneva look fascinating. Stephen would go crazy with his camera that is for sure. Keep enjoying your holiday.
