Today we took the bus to Tarragona. This is about a 20 minute bus ride north along the coast from Salou. On the ride we see an enormous amount of factories and industrial estates between the two towns. This is on one side of the road and then the beach and Mediterranean on the other.
Arrive in Tarragona and take a walk to the Roman ruins. They date back to the late part of the 1st century – about 70AD. Able to walk through the amphitheatre, forum, circus and tunnels. Not too sure about the history of Tarragona so might have to do some research. Again, a great view of the Mediterranean from high points.
It is now raining steadily back in Salou.
