Nov 21 to Jan 1 2019: In the last 45 days Kathy and I have done so much. For Thanksgiving, we attended a Thanksgiving dinner provided by Americans Living in Valencia. About 75 people were in attendance including many Spaniards who just liked the idea of giving thanks for the many things they had. It was fun. I had to tell her it was a statue. That´s too bad, she was having a lot of fun.

The Throne Room

If you have watched Outlander, King of Thrones or any of the movies centered around castle you have seen the Throne Room. Quite impressive.

The second night in Alicante, we ate dinner to the music of this duo. They were very good.

Dinner

Kathy and I at dinner the first night in Alicante. The funny thing was that the next day after walking all day in and around the city, we stopped for dinner and I just happened to notice that it was next door to this restaurant.

Funny Faces

This is a group of toadstool statues along one of the avenues in Alicante that are unique. This one reminded me of a guy I used to work for.

Kathy and I walking the dogs at the Humane Society. I think that we walked a total of about six or eight dogs

This was a lively crowd waiting for turkey. It took everything I had to get their attention.

Town Hall

With THE TREE! If you look closely, you can see an skating rink, but this is not an ice skating rink. It apparently has a Teflon coating and you use Teflon skates. Makes sense...it's 65 degrees outside.

Living it up in Valencia!
What terrific blogs. I love reading your travel and local living stories. So glad you decided to do this. I spent a month traveling through Turkey in April/May 2018. I often wish I had done a blog. Working to remember those delicious small moments that really meant a lot. Highly recommend Turkey. In spite of the politics right now. They truly miss Americans, British and Japanese tourists. They went all out when ever I needed help, advice or some directions. I went with my daughter and granddaughter for a week, then they left and I toured via local transportation on my own for 3 weeks. Saw most of the country. Except the coast where all the cruise ships dock. Couldn't deal with the multitude of tourists. Take care. I'll keep watching for your communications.
