Dave, Julia and I explored Valencia by foot. Julia was raving that we had to try 'bubble tea' so we went to the bubble tea store. It is basically a fruit tea cold drink in which they throw in some small flavoured balls (known to use tapioca) that burst in your mouth and give you a flavour. I had banana flavour with strawberry balls.

We walked around and saw various monuments, walked through parks and visited the botanical garden which we had lots of fun taking photos.

We walked up an appetite and we all fancied some good paella, so I googled a great little restaurant where we had a feast of various yummy starters and a massive wok of amazing paella that could have fed the 5000.

This was also the night we were supposed to get our night train to Granada at 01.35...however, when we got to the train station there were no ticket officers to purchase a ticket. We had bought the rail ticket where you can have 4 journeys, but they would not let us on without the actual purchased ticket. Bummer. So we had to go back to our hostel for another night and wait for Friday morning. Worst could have happened 😉
