santigo de compostelasantigo de compostelasantigo de compostela

all the best intentions....
spain is definatly a place where you have to let go.... you have to say ¨fuck it¨!!...

hehe... and we have.....

we flew into santigo last tuesday (me, jon and sarah) and made our way to a hostel....then the next morning we caught a bus out into the mountains.... and started to walk along the camino de santigo..... but we hadnt looked at a weather forcast and had to walk 14 Km in gale force winds and rain that came up!!... sarahs poncho literally shreaded and flew down the mountain.... then when we finally arrived at a refugio. i was completely soaked and my pack. the refugio was also soo damp that the walls were turning mouldy before our eyes... the next day we walked a little way but without any proper equipment... so the next refugio we stayed the night and because the forcast was for the storm to last three days we caught 3 buses to go to lugo....

beautifull city surrounded by ancient roman wall.... spent a few days there eating tapas and enjoying the hell out of it!... then sarah left us and we decided to go somewhere else... but without a map it
mmmmmmmmmmmm

what can i say...
was really hard to know where any of the buses were going.... but then we saw a bus going to Coruna and I remembered seeing it on the waether map in the paper and so we hopped on.... 3 hours later we arrived into the biggest ugliest city I have ever seen....... so we hopped straight back on the bus.... you should of seen the bus drivers face!!!...hehe... anyways.. we got off in a funny town called Betanzos... that was really old and was under full reconstruction.... the whole town was having a makeover!!...???

spent two nites there and we went into this bar where the customer area was smaller then the space behind the bar and only five ppl could fit.. and this old spanish man was doing doing some slightly reckless bootyshaking dancing..!!!

now we are back in santigo de compostela staying in a really nice hotel cause jon feels rich!!.. its great...and I wounder what we will do tonight?.... the same thing we do every night!.... drink vino and eat tapas...and.give in to spain.....

XoXo

ps there are no photos of the storm in the mountains because if I took my camera out
breif veiw of countrysidebreif veiw of countrysidebreif veiw of countryside

half an hour later we couldnt see infront of our faces... this is the only veiw on spain we got....
it would have been ruined...... 😉

Miss you over here! We cleaned the house this morning for the first time in ... you don't wanna know how long :P was getting a bit festy ;) I caught up with Bron today. She's been back three days and is still jetlagged, but it was so good to see her! Pity you guys couldn't have caught up before she left. Are you gonna go visit everyone... everywhere? you should, because it will be fun. and free accommodation! and that will no doubt invove beer! :) speaking of which, we scored 20 cartons from Creatures the other night, but that's another story... agh! better late than never
so whats happening now. did u get back to camino de santigo? im still in broome- and experienced the best lightening storm ever. watched from the mangrove over dinner with glen then went down to cable beach - it seemed like we were surrounded- only a few drops rain then the hottest wind came up. it was like when u sit too close to a bonfire. angie is feeling like she needs some space around the time of the birth so I'm going to stay up here for a while longer and house sit over the wet. hope all is going well for you and look forward to your next blog. or postcard to PO Box 7177 Broome 6725 luv ya and miss ya xoxo mum
