Today, Pam and I walked to La Puerta Del Sol and ate at the famous Museo de Jamon (Ham Museum). We also visited La Plaza Mayor- which forms a rectangular square. Plaza Mayor was the site of bull fights, executions and trials during the Spanish inquisition. Now its a gathering place, full of cafes where folks eat and drink outdoors.
We then walked to El Retiro (a beautiful, hugh park in the center of Madrid). On the way to the park we were were treated to beautiful fountains and views of spectacular buildings. There is an amazing photo exhibit at El Retiro and we also enjoyed a boat ride near the Alfonso XII Monument.
This evening we had dinner with the family(s) and then Pam, Selina, Ramesh and I went to a bar and discoteca where they placed "la musica black." We got the party started!
