Parque del Retiro. It gets so late so fast! After this it's definitely time for bed. I hope I can fall asleep okay -- I took a nice long nap this afternoon. Madrid is VERY warm. I'm not that much of a hot weather person, though it is a nice change from the rain 😉
Today we went to the Parque del Retiro. It's a HUGE public park, but very pretty. It has lots of benches and shade, which was nice. We walked around for awhile and saw this statue that won first prize in an international exhibition in 1878. It's said to be the first statue dedicated to the devil. We also found the Palacio de Cristal, which was very cool. It usually has art exhibitions, but one had just ended so it was empty. We found a nice bench in the shade where it was nice and cool and just sat for awhile. We came back for a nap, got up and walked around the area (not too much in this part of town) and we got osme churros con chocolate (which are so tasty!) and walked around some more. Adam bought a set of teeth (well, a mold of teeth) off

Parque del Retiro. a guy on the street. They're a little bit creepy, but funny too -- It'll be a good story to tell.
Tomorrow we are going to try and stay in a nice hotel for our very last night. That'll be a treat (assuming we can find one for a Friday night!).
