Here Comes the Sun

After a wonderful week long stay with the Harik´s we boarded a 10 hour long train and moved south
we took the train all the way down to Marseilles (in the south of France)
Sarah´s cousin Joe was nice enough to let us stay with him
we all toured the old port, the church with an amazing view of the entire city
and of course THE BEACH!
Lynsey was crazy enough to brave a freezing ocean swim..
so cold you couldn't even think at first, let alone breathe.
the ocean view was beautiful.. perfect blue with sail boats dotted along the horizon- picture perfect
Joe and his friend Roy took us out for dinner and introduced us to their favourite bars...
the next day was spent lazing around the beach
Katie was somehow the one who ended up with a sunburn
not the fluorescently white red head.....
they surprised Lynsey with birthday pastry treats
and were nice enough to see us off at the train station.
arrived in Toulouse in the evening and made our way to the hostel
the next day (May 10th) -best day of the year- Lynsey turned 19!
woke up late, browsed the modern art museum, read our books in the park,
we went out for a nice dinner (thanks Kathy!!) and a movie ..a perfect Lynsey-like day.
up early the following morning and it was a snap back to reality with a 12 hour long train ride to Madrid.. Goodbye France!
5 countries down.. can hardly believe it!
looking forward to spending a few days here in the Spanish capital

What no pubs?
Its been a while since I've seen mention of any pubs. You guys sound like you're slipping. I was going to tell you to try to get to Eze while you were in south of France (just east of Nice) but it sounds like I'm a little late. If you're heading back through Italy on the way home and are travelling south of France again you should check it out - or at least look it up in a guide book : ) Enjoy Spain and if you're thinking of going to Morroco let me know and I'll send you an email about it.
