Hi folks

Today we left the beautiful country of France and drove across the border to Spain, before we did that we stopped at Carcassonne the oldest original fortress in Europe it was built up by the Romans in 100 BC it was amazing... I'm going to have to get a dictionary to find more words than wow, amazing and fantastic it was once a village and now is a market place, very cool. Before leaving France we drove through a wicked thunderstorm, I tried to get photos of the lightening but missed it, only took us 20 mins to go though but she was nasty and directly over top of us.. The rain was heavier than West Coast rain. We crossed the border in Spain and didn't even realise Apart from one small sign...no stamp on our passport, no border patrol... the housing and landscape has changed and of course the language, driving in Barcelona is quite a bit better than Paris but still stressful if you can drive in these cities you can drive anywhere I reckon. Arrived at our hotel at 6pm Lexie didn't want to go out tonight so we unpacked then had dinner at the hotel, Lexie and Mal played cards, at midnight Lexie called school and Mrs Gomez took the phone to her classroom so she was able to talk to all her friends, she is missing home and her friends, we headed to bed after that and it is off exploring tomorrow
