The process of scouting out, installing, and documenting my street art pieces in a new city on the other side of the world was to say the least exhilarating. The labyrinth of lanes in Barcelona's Gothic quarter presented an amazing set of locations - but also all sorts of challenges in relocating and documenting the pasted works the following day

All part of the fun, of course.

This is a selection of my first pasteings (and/or stickerings) in central Barcelona.

One of my Voice of the Blue Earth pasteups - a Voz de la Terra Azul piece made specifically for Spain - in a panel in Barcelona's Gothic quarter. The Spanish text - not quite aligned with the English - reads: The Blue Earth Says: SAPIENS MEANS WISE. ¡WISE UP!

Lou spied this wonderful location for my Winged Heart piece - in a perfect little lane, Carrer de la Volta del Remei - in Barcelona's Gothic quarter.

Carrer de la Volta del Remei - a small side lane in Barcelona's Gothic quarter - seemed like the perfect place for my Winged Dalí Elephant Heart. It flew all the way from Australia to Catalonia - its true home.

:-))
Phoenix says :-)) ; street art often has a sort of 'meant to be' synchronicity about it and this was definitely one of those.
