my awesome score - 969 Sunday 1 June 2008 It's no longer my birthday month :-( but it is Alex's so happy days. G's last full day here before he flies back to London tomorrow. As Alex was playing footie, I did some exercise then joined G, Tasha and Drew/Dru for some table tennis. There were some little kids on the table so we waited a while then Drew/Dru offered them EUR 2.00 for the table!! They took it. So we played a bit, but not properly - otherwise I would've laid the SMACKDOWN!
Dinner was booked for 21:15 at a French restaurant so relaxed for a bit before then walked up with G to meet Tasha there. I had the duck. It was really salty! Have to remember not to get that again... Then it was pool time, but when we got there it was closed so I couldn't thrash everyone - maybe next time. So we decided to go to the jazz bar, where we were the only people (aside from the barman) for a few minutes before 3 other guys came into the bar. Drew/Dru joined us for a drink and proceeded to slate Alex's humour for not liking Monty Python but thinking

Alex's lame in comparison score - 150 Mr. Bean is funny. Personally I like both.
Monday 2 June 2008 I couldn't be arsed to go to work today, especially as I didn't get a very good night's sleep and I have to deal with the 2 hours of nothingness between the classes. But during this time I managed to chat to Amar online and after he left, Raz called me so I managed to not be too bored :-) Had a nice conversation with Raz, where he told me to just stick on an episode of Eastenders for my lessons. I probably would if there was a TV in the room...
Alex isn't enjoying preparing for the lessons, so not sure how long this teaching malarky'll last for him - only time will tell...
Had dinner at the Chinese across the road, which again was a bit greasy, but at least we didn't have to cook.
Tuesday 3 June 2008 I don't think it's teaching in particular that Alex doesn't like - I think it's work in general. I, on the other hand, am still enjoying travelling to my classes and teaching, as well as doing the preparation. Alex reckons I do too much, and

pretty building we passed on the way to the park Tasha says she does 15 minutes prep before the lesson, but personally I prefer to do the work beforehand. Call me old fashioned, but hard work builds character!
Wednesday 4 June 2008 I only had 2 students turn up to my evening class, which suited me fine, as it meant I could just chat to them more. And then we played a card game. In English, of course.
Thursday 5 June 2008 For some reason this week has gone quite slowly for me - I actually thought that I could do with another weekend day. How weird is that?? I don't know - never happy with the amount of work...!
Friday 6 June 2008 Girls' night out tonight with Tasha, Adriana, Ruth and Kyles. Two other girls were meant to come too but they dropped out. Alex stayed at Tasha's for a boys' night in with Drew and Jezza. We walked round to their's with Kyles where we met Tasha and Adriana, then headed to Calexico, where we met Ruth. They'd decided to go to Alfa, as Tasha and Adriana were tired so wanted to go local - which was good because it's cheaper (EUR 5.00 entry

from a distance with beer). Turned out to be a bit crap tho, and Kyles left early, Tasha had a tummy ache, and some woman was annoying me with her bag so I pushed her. So we left at 2:30 and walked back to Tasha's where the boys were watching Fonejacker. They then showed us some Afro Samurai, which I probably would've found interesting had I not been so tired.
Saturday 7 June 2008 Kyles woke me up with a text asking if we wanted to go to Sitges. I told her she just woke me up so no.
Spent a small portion of the afternoon at Ciutadella park with Tasha, Drew, Ruth, Jezza and Adriana, where I ate a nice sarnie with chicken, bacon, mayo, lettuce and egg. YUM!
Went to check out Kyles' hostel at Gothic Point, while Alex went to watch the footie with Jezza. It's quite big and there's a large roof terrace that you can sit out on with a ping pong table. The rooms are weird - they reminded me of the bunks in Life is Beautiful, but I guess that's what hostels are - cheap rooms that cram as many people as possible inside. Well at least she has a roof over her head... The kitchen's tiny too - it's insane how small it is! It should be illegal, but I guess most people go out to eat anyway. There is, however, a nice relaxation room upstairs, where you can chill on comfy sofas/cushions with low lighting. So that's nice :-)
