pickpockets....the true spanish experience!

sooo everyone warns you about pickpockets....too bad you still dont see it coming a mile away

before i being i was very lucky and despite my thinking i was the original target my friend was the one who got her stuff stolen....

last night was fabulous..i had an amazing time..the flamenco show was phenomenal·.the night scene here is pretty awesome too...bars dont close until VERY VERY LATE...loves it!...made getting up a little rough though this morning

so this morning we went on another fantastic free walking tour of the gothic part of barcelona ...it was really cool we saw lots of really old buildings and even the old roman ruins that lie under the city (some of them have been escavated...so there are museums of them ..really cool stuff...) anyways after the tour we went to lunch at this restaurant that was recommened to us..it was like a random buffet restaurant that had like udon noodles, sushi, dim sum, argentinian steak and sausage , fresh seafood and spanish tapas...anyways it was a really nice restaurant and it was really cheap...as wee were eating i had my purse on the chair beside me and i had my wrist through the strap...my friend had her wallet on the talbe in front of her...the three of us were just talking and some kid came up to us and was speaking spanish to us and pointing at this newspaper...he put the paper on the table and kept pointing...we were like sorry we dunno what you want...so he walked away...but as he walked away i noticed he didn approach any other tables...thinking that was a tad bit weird i was like ḧey i should check to see if he didnt steal from my purse...and then amber looks at me and shes like OMG HE JUST STOLE MY WALLET....we all ran out side and chased him down the street but being a 12 year old boy and doing this for a living he did a good job at outrunning us...anyways....we figure he intially approached us cuz my purse was pretty big and noticeable and when he saw her wallet on the table and my wriste around my purse strap he went for her wallet instead...theyŕe swift here...really professional and really hard to realize youre being robbed until youre robbed....really sucky...we spent this afternoon just getting stuff together but all her credit cards were canceled and luckily we found her travelx card on her bed and her passport was in the hostel locker...anyways all is back on track we have money in our pockets again and all the necessary documentation has been filled out....so on to more barcelona experiencing! its much warmer and sunnier here than london i love it
