So today we arrived Spain, leaving Hong Kong last night and having a six hour stopover in London. The flight was great - got to sleep heaps and watch some great movies, and the seats werent too bad either. I hated being so close to the UK family and not being able to see them all!!!
Its been so hard to find time & energy even to get onto the net to update the last few days. So much has happened and we are continuing to have a wonderful time.
So what have we done...?
Disneyland in Hong Kong - so much fun. Very Magical and some AWESOME rides! Cant wait to tell Jessica about the coooolest ride ever - better than our favourite Scooby Doo ride at Movieworld!!! Had a ball with all the cast there - Jack Sparrow was to DIE FOR!!! hehehe
We had our photo taken holding Tinkerbell outside Sleeping Beauty's Castle - we have that printed.
The 'laser light show' in HK was pretty disappointing for me. Matt appreciated all of the hard work that would have been done to set it up though.
Went up the Peak tram to
overlook HK and that was pretty cool. EXCELLENT view and ate at the Japanese restaurant up there - OMG AWESOME Smoked Duck and Terriyaki Chicken. And my fav - Miso soup!
:-)
The SHENZHEN Markets - freaky but fun! There are so many shops we didnt even see a 10th I reckon!!! So got lost too.
Got my first LV bag at Mongkok Markets (ladies markets) in HK. I went to the real LV shop earlier that day and fell in love with one of their new models - its called RITA and I luurrvveee it. So got me a fakey one of them. That was pretty scary - we went up lanes and up levels of some shonky dingy buildings through a number of security doors etc and then you get to a couple of rooms full of LV, Gucci, Prada, etc etc and Matt was on HIGH ALERT the whole time! The first one was pretty daunting. By the 4th we had it downpat. I think I got my first bag in about the 6th? Rain made the markets have to shut down early though.
Wendy - I dont need to be jealous any
more - Ive got some gorgeous Chinese shirts & dress' now too. Yay!
In Shenzhen I got my next LV collection..... I got a red purse, a white coin & Key purse & my Fav bag - the Speedy 30. THEN I bought a LV Traditional Monogram SUITCASE!!!! Woohoo!!! The suitcase is already FULL and its just of pressies and souvenirs from HK alone! Oopss... running out of room VERY quickly!
Matt got some D&G shirts, a really nice Jacket, 4x belts (Gucci, Armani!) and a Versace Wallet. Oh - a couple of HUGEASS memory USB sticks, and his most favourite buy for the day (and the most expensive -but oh so cheap) A REMOTE CONTROLLED YOU-BEAUT FREAKING HELICOPTER.... And he's already driving me nuts with it in the hotel rooms at night! Pretty funny though. He loves it! Cant fly it for shit though - but still loves it!!! LOL
Oceanpark - thats another place we went too - its kind of like a theme park & underwaterworld & wet'n'wild & dreamworld all in one thing. We got there half way through the day because we thought that it wasnt that big. They have some PANDA'S
there and thats what we were going for really.... But as the bus pulled up - we were shocked at how Cool and Huge it looked. It was pretty fun. A couple of Rollercoasters over the water etc were cool. The panda's were gorgeous - wont see them in Oz.
We ate lunch before the oceanpark at 'The Spaghetti House' - they have a chain of them in HK. By the outside you think its pretty shitty, but we went in and it was soooo gorgeous inside - HIGHLY recommend it!!! It was THAT GOOD that we went BACK there for dinner AFTER Oceanpark!!!! LOL.... My fav pasta dish is Carbonara, and they made one of -if not THE- BEST Carbonara's I have ever ever had. I was really in heaven. Now Im a little worried though - Italy has alot to live up to and I have HIGH expectations.
Guess what.... Sux - I broke my Laptop screen today. F&CKR. Im grateful I got extra insurance on it for the holiday. THANK GOD.
Pretty pissed off at myself though. Cried for a while. Matt said Im a big Girl, but seriously - wouldnt you cry? It
was my birthday pressie!!??!!??!!
Anyways,
Oh - we went out the last morning in HK for TAI CHI - that was really really nice. Got lots of photos of Matt doing his forms & playing his Tai Chi - it was really quite relaxing to be there in a huge park of so many chinese people doing it & taking it so seriously. I was a very proud girlfriend sitting there watching my man fit right in. :-)
So check out the photo's and hope you are all Well. Sorry there are HEAPS in one go but we have done so much over the last few days - these are some of our fav's!!! Dont forget there are a few pages of photos - not just one! :-)
Thank you all for your emails, Messages & Comments on the blog - we really LOVE getting them! So thank you & Keep them coming - PLEASE!
